  • Clean Order Turnaround Time: Our goal is to process clean orders within 2 days, yet we average just 0.44 days—meaning orders ship out the same day they are placed. 
  • Exception Order Turnaround Time: Even for more complex orders that require additional steps, such as contacting the prescriber or member, our average is just 1.94 days, far below the 5-day industry benchmark.

We prioritize internal development and training, encouraging pharmacy technicians to achieve certification and take on expanded roles. This approach allows us to build a workforce of highly skilled professionals who are not just pharmacy experts but also deeply knowledgeable about our processes and values. 

Examples of internal development include our Director of Pharmacy Services, Jacob Kachelmeier, PharmD, and Adjudication Technician Ranea Whitehouse, CPhT.  

Jacob began his tenure over 12 years ago, working in our contact center for three years and spending a little bit of time in the pharmacy as a tech. Once he graduated, he worked as a staff pharmacist. For the last six years, he’s been managing the operations and pharmacy staff. He ensures the safe and efficient processing of prescription orders through the pharmacy and manages the medication stock.  

Ranea had no pharmacy experience when she started at Serve You Rx. She worked in our fulfillment room as a pharmacy support specialist, packaging and shipping orders. After learning the flow of the pharmacy, she trained to become a fulfillment tech, filling prescriptions and working with inventory. She then trained to be an adjudication technician, entering new prescription data into our pharmacy management system, troubleshooting problem prescriptions, and directly interacting with our patients and doctors. She was also studying to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam®, which she successfully passed in June of this year. 

These journeys are just two examples that highlight how we cultivate talent from within and ensure we staff the pharmacy with people who are Serve You Rx experts committed to quality and service. 

Diverse Roles for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians 

Outside of pharmacy operations, we have pharmacists performing many other roles at Serve You Rx. With pharmacy experts integrated across our organization, our team can adapt and collaborate to solve client and member issues whenever needed. 

  • Clinical Account Executives oversee program development and ensure clinical services align with our high standards. 
  • Patient Care Coordinators work directly with members, managing complex therapies and advocating for the best possible outcomes. 
  • Pharmacy Technicians handle everything from routine fulfillment to specialized support, backed by deep knowledge and continuous training. 
  • Staff Pharmacists manage inventory, fill prescriptions according to physician prescriptions, and provide patient support. 
  • Specialty Pharmacists are on call 24/7 to support members with their specialty medications.  
  • Prior Authorization Pharmacists oversee our prior authorizations and electronic prior authorization program, ensuring plan compliance.
