Serve You Rx is an independent PBM founded in 1987 by a group of pharmacists in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who owned a chain of pharmacies called Serv-U. They saw that many employers in southeast Wisconsin paid too much for prescription benefits and wanted a better solution. They founded what would later become Serve You Rx. What’s remarkable is that some of these founding pharmacists continue to maintain ownership in the company today. This longevity and continuity of vision are rare in the pharmacy benefit management industry, which regularly sees numerous disruptive mergers and acquisitions.

For nearly four decades, we have maintained consistent ownership and focused on organic growth, serving self-funded, mid-market employer groups. This steadfast approach sets us apart from many competitors and has allowed us to remain true to our founding mission. We are committed to collaborating closely with insurance brokers, benefit advisors, third-party administrators, and employer groups to reduce prescription drug costs and improve access to affordable medications.
We have many long-standing clients, including our oldest client, who has been with us for over three decades. Our account management model delivers consistent, superior service with dedicated Account Executives and Clinical Account Executives. The Account Executive is the single point of contact throughout the relationship, from implementation to go-live and beyond, eliminating the need to transition after implementation. Our Clinical Account Executives are all PharmDs who provide overall plan monitoring.
Service Built for You
Because we are founded by pharmacists, we appreciate the synergies and service opportunities of our owned assets. These include our in-house contact center, home delivery, and specialty pharmacies. Based in our home office in Milwaukee, the contact center and pharmacies are under the same roof as our account management team, so we easily collaborate to resolve inquiries and evaluate new cost-saving opportunities.
It’s not uncommon for a clinical account executive to be brought in to address an issue identified in the pharmacy or contact center when it concerns their client. We take client and member issues seriously and are happy to provide high-touch service whenever needed. Sometimes, interactions with the pharmacy, contact center, and account team members lead to new plan recommendations and savings opportunities.
