Introducing Sure Path GLP-1

A new program that puts your clients in control of GLP-1 costs — available May 1. 

If you’ve spent the last year fielding questions about GLP-1 costs from your employer clients, we have news you’ll want to share — and a date to put on the calendar. 

Beginning May 1, 2026, Serve You Rx will offer Sure Path GLP-1 — a program that delivers the direct manufacturer price for GLP-1 weight-loss medications upfront. No waiting for rebates, no spread, no surprises. Just the direct manufacturer price, from day one.  And because we work with employer groups of every size, this program is available to your clients, whether they have 50 or 5,000 employees. 

Why Now? 

Your clients probably fall into one of two camps right now. Some have been covering GLP-1s for years and are watching their pharmacy spend climb, with list prices that can top $1,000 per member per month — and they’re desperate for an off-ramp that doesn’t eliminate the benefit entirely. Others haven’t covered these drugs yet, but they’re hearing about it from employees and starting to factor GLP-1 coverage into their hiring decisions. 

This program was built for both groups. And the timing isn’t a coincidence. Programs like LillyDirect and NovoCare Pharmacy have already proven that manufacturer pricing can work outside the traditional rebate model — but that advantage was only available to individual consumers going it alone. Sure Path GLP-1 brings that same pricing dynamic into the employer benefit, so your clients can offer it as a covered benefit rather than leaving employees to fend for themselves. We’ve moved quickly to make that available to you and your clients. 

How It Works 

Serve You Rx can now access direct manufacturer pricing on FDA-approved GLP-1s — brands like Wegovy® and Zepbound® — and pass that net price straight through to employers. Here’s what makes it different: 

  1. The employer sees the direct manufacturer price up front, not a gross list price with rebates reconciled months later. 
  2. Because there are no rebates involved, employers can set any cost share they want — completely outside the normal formulary co-pay structure. An employer can offer 50% coinsurance, contribute a nominal amount, or anything in between. They decide how much they want to spend. 
  3. More predictable access through approved channels. Members won’t hit the shortages that have made these medications so difficult to access through traditional network pharmacies. 
  4. Members get the real, FDA-approved product. Not a compounded version. Employers can finally take credit for covering a benefit their employees are already seeking out on their own. 
  5. Visibility and reporting come standard. Utilization data, outcomes, and adherence — all flowing back through Serve You Rx to the employer. No more blind spots from members going off- benefit. 

The Pitch to Your Clients 

A lot of members are already getting these medications somewhere — through compounders, discount programs, or out of pocket. This program offers a real FDA-approved product and uses GLP-1 coverage as the recruitment and retention tool it increasingly is — all while staying in control of what they actually spend. It’s also worth noting that there’s no minimum group size to participate. Small and mid-size employers have access to the same pricing model and program as larger groups — a level playing field that most alternatives simply don’t offer. 

For clients who’ve been covering GLP-1s and watching costs climb, this is the off-ramp — a way to step back from the high-list-price model without eliminating the benefit. For clients who haven’t started yet, this is a low-risk on-ramp — dip a toe in the water, control the contribution, and learn. 

What’s Next 

Sure Path GLP-1 launches May 1, and this is only the beginning. We plan to expand — GLP-1s are the first use case, but additional drug categories will follow as manufacturer partnerships grow.
